Distributed Cell based Grid for OSINT and SIGINT capabilities
Digital signals, in all forms, are a constant flow in daily life. From social media interactions, to almost every thinkable action we take on a daily basis, it will result in an digital event which represents what happened. In addition to what we, as humans, do we have machine originated events, sensor capturing natural events and so forth. Events, signals, flow through computer networks, digital social network, the radio spectrum, telecommunication networks and countless other sources that can be tapped into as a source for digital intelligence and signal intelligence.
While the amount of possible sources for the intelligence community, coming from open sources as well as classified sources, can be seen as a treasure trove to achieve situational awareness on the battlefield it also comes with a downside. Due to the large amounts of data which needs to be processed, need to be analyzed and needs to be put into context it becomes a complex and multidimensional puzzle by itself. To even further complicate this, signals will differ extremely.
An intercepted radio message between troops on the ground will technically differ extremely from a social media post. The same applies for how imagery and how it should be handled, analyzed and interpreted which differs completely from how a flow of events related to flights…
