Being able to share, consume and use data throughout an enterprise with almost no technical difficulties while ensuring data quality, data ownership and data consistency is a sought after goal by many enterprises both small and large. The introduction of the Data Mesh concept makes this goal more of a reality.

The Data Mesh concept supports the sharing of data in the form of Data Products throughout an enterprise as well as outside of the enterprise. While this provides huge benefits and opportunities for a company it also requires putting security in place to ensure only those who are allowed to access the data / data products can do so and that the data is protected against malicious attackers.

Multilayer Data Mesh Security

Ensuring multiple layers of security are in place is (should be) a common practice when developing new services. Data Mesh is not different in that and the security which is put in place when developing a Data Mesh Strategy should be based upon the zero trust model and should be able to secure your data assets in the best possible manner.
